What BE&HC is building

Goal

Host at least one “Know Your Housing Rights” convening to help families understand tenant protections, eviction processes, educational rights, and available resources.

Why it matters

Brockton has one of the highest eviction rates in Massachusetts, and many families have limited awareness of both their rights as tenants and their children's rights under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

What BE&HC is building

BE&HC will convene families, legal advocates, school staff, and community organizations to provide accessible information about housing rights, eviction prevention, tenant protections, and educational rights.

What success looks like

By summer 2027, at least 90 families receive training on tenant rights and McKinney-Vento educational rights.
